manual abstract

In order to make the most of the advanced features and performance provided by your guitar, please read this manual carefully before using the instrument. PRECAUTIONS Always set the VOLUME control to “0” when plugging in or unplugging the connection cable. The battery check indicator will light briefly when a plug is inserted or removed from the output jack. This is normal and does not indicate a malfunction. The built-in preamplifier is automatically turned on when a plug is inserted into the output jack. Remove the plug from the output jack to turn off preamplifier power and avoid unnecessary battery drain whenever the instrument is not used or when playing without amplification. If the instrument is not going to be used for an extended period of time, we recommend that the battery be removed in order to avoid power consumption or leakage. Pushing the knob down and into the guitar when not in use retains the instrument’s clean lines and also helps prevent mistaken operation. P u s h th e kn o b a ga i n t o adjust the volume. * Make sue that the knob is pushed down before stor- ing the guitar in the case. * Pickup locations shown in the illustration above are only approximations and not exact representations of their locations. q Master Volume Control (VOL.) The 3 mixed pickup levels are sent to the VOL., which adjusts the overall sound output level. * Make sure that the VOL. is turned to “0” before connecting or disconnecting. * Raising the VOL. level will produce no sound if all pickup level controls are set to “0”. w Pickup Level Controls MAIN : Controls the volume of the main pickup. TREBLE : Controls the volume of the treble side sub pickup. BASS : Controls the volume of the bass side sub pickup. The Main Pickup delivers a balanced sound output of the acoustic guitar’s basic tonal elements. Mixing in the dynamics and harmonic overtones produced by the sub pickup outputs can be used to achieve a wide range of tonal variations. We recommend starting just with the output from the main pickup, and adding and adjusting the output levels from the sub pickups (BASS/ TREBLE) to achieve a sound to your liking. e Battery Check Indicator This indicator will light when the battery needs to be replaced. Please replace the battery as soon as possible when the indicator lights. USING THE SOUND HOLE COVER Feedback often occurs when controls are boosted on the electric acoustic guitar to match the volume of other instruments when playing in a band. When the instrument is used under the conditions described above, the Sound Hole Cover should be inserted into the sound hole. With the Sound Hole Cover in place, feedback is effectively reduced. * Remove the sound hole cover before storing instruments with lacquer finishes (L 36 models, etc.). No...
