The extreme temperatures of summer and winter are harmful to the condition of the bow. Using the Bow • Apply rosin to the bow hairs before using. Before using the bow for the first time, apply rosin carefully and evenly to the whole bow. From the 2nd time, apply a small amount of rosin to the bow hairs. • Before using the bow, rotate the screw shown in the illustration so that the bow hairs become taut. The bow stick should be concave and the bow hairs should have medium tension and be evenly taut. If the bow hairs and bow stick are parallel, the bow is too tight and this may result in damage or trouble to the bow. • After use, make sure to loosen bow tension. Also, if powdered rosin has accumulated on the bow stick, wipe the bow stick with a soft cloth to remove the rosin. & • To clean the bow, wipe with a soft, dry cloth. • Due to the bow’s shape, it may cause harm when coming into contact with other persons or objects. Please keep adequate space between you and those around you during performance, so that the bow does not come in contact with other persons or objects.
