Roland Piano Digital-compatible music data is created to allow this type of piano practice ("each hand separately" or "accompaniment only"). In this way, various settings for the track buttons allow you to "follow along" with the playback, or to play while being accompanied. You will probably discover a great variety of practice possibilities. 8 Sounding the Metronome For songs with an unusually fast or slow tempo, it may sometimes be difficult to grasp the tempo and play accurately with it. In such cases, you may wish to have the metronome sound while you practice. Press the Metronome button. The metronome indicator will light, and the metronome will begin sounding. Press the button once again and it will stop. The volume of the metronome is adjusted by the Metronome Volume knob located on the rear panel. You can also adjust the timing at which the metronome sounds, and its time signature. For details refer to page 14. Adding a Count-ln Before the Song Begins Before the Song Begins With some music data, the piano part begins as soon as you press the Play button. When practicing such songs, it is convenient to add a count-in at the beginning of the song. Press the Count-ln button. When you press the Play button, the song will begin playing after a two measure count-in. To turn off the count-in, press the Count-ln button once again. You can then play back and return to the marked location simply by pressing a button, or automatically repeat playback of the specified area. Jumping to a Marker Specify the beginning point of the area that you wish to practice. (For example, measures 5 and following.)
