The three conductors of the mains lead attached to this apparatus are identified with color as shown in the table below, together with the matching terminal on the UK type power plug. When connecting the mains lead to a plug, be sure to connect each conductor to the correct terminal, as indicated. "This instruction applies to the product for United Kingdom." Input the signals of Lch and Rch to the INST and the LINE respectively when playing a stereo source in monaural. The devices to be connected to Inputs INST or LINE cannot be connected to the Input MIC. ■ OPERATION 0 Set the Input Volume Knob on the front panel fully counterclockwise (minimum) and set the low Boost and the High Boost Knobs at the center positions. LOW HIGH INPUT BOOST BOOST VOLUME (2) Connect electronic musical instruments and/or audio equipment to the Input Jacks on the rear panel. (3) Make sure that the unit is turned off, and connect the AC plug to an outlet. 0 Push the Power Switch to turn the unit on. (D Slowly rotate the Volume Knob clockwise until you get a desired volume. * This knob is provided for controlling the overall volume, not for controlling the volumes of the three inputs. When using more than one device at the same time, control the volume balance by adjusting the volume of each device. * Feeding the signal through a microphone may cause howling. If so, please rotate the Volume Knob counterclockwise, or move the microphone away from the unit. © Adjust the Low Boost and the High Boost Knobs to make a desired sound. ■ IMPORTANT NOTES ■ SPECIFICATIONS • Operating the unit near neon or fluorescent lamp may cause noise interference. If so, change the position or the angle of the units. Placing the musical instruments too close to each other may also cause noise. • Do not connect or disconnect to the plug with the unit switched on, to protect the speaker from excessive strain. • When setting up a musical instrument with the unit, connect the connection cord to the musical instrument first, then to the unit. When disconnecting, pull out the cord from the unit first, then from the musical instrument. • Avoid giving a strong shock to the unit and do not move it while it is being operated. • Do not use the unit in extreme humidity or heat, or where it may be affected by dust or direct sunlight. Rotating the knob clockwise deepens the effect. Usually, set it at the center position, and adjust it as you listen to the sound. Q High Boost Knob This boosts the higher frequencies of the input signal. Rotating the knob clockwise deepens the effect. Usually, set it at the center position, and adjust it as you listen to the sound. 0 Input Volume Knob This adjusts the volume of sound. Rotating it clockwise increases the volume. Q Power Switch Push this to turn the unit on (the red indicator lights up), and push it again to turn off. 0 Input Jacks (1,2 and 3) Connect a microphone to Input 1 (MIC), electronic musical instruments such as a keyboard or rhythm machine to Input 2 (INST), and audio equipment such as a tape recorder or CD player to Input 3 (LINE). 0 AC Cord Connect this securely to an AC outlet.
