HEADPHONES RH-10 V-TO EXTERNAL GUITAR AMP'S MAIN INPUT (LO INPUT) LOW INPUT- (In case of JC-50) OPERATING JC-50 1 TO OBTAIN NORMAL SOUND: Set knobs and controls as illustrated below and adjust volume and tone controls (Treble-Bass) to proper positions while playing your guitar. TO ADJUST CHORUS: After perfecting the setting for normal sound, set Chorus/Vibrato changeover switch to Chorus, to obtain chorus effect. TO ADJUST VIBRATO: After perfecting the setting for normal sound, set Chorus/Vibrato changeover switch to Vibrato, to I obtain vibrato effect. Set Speed and Depth controls at proper positions while playing your guitar. TO OBTAIN DISTORTION SOUND: Starting from the setting for normal sound, set Distortion control at a proper position in ON region to obtain soft distortion. TO ADJUST REVERB CONTROL: Turn Reverb Control to proper position to obtain the reverberation effect as you like. CHORUS EFFECT With the chorus effect of JC series, sound-delay circuit is to produce a unison. By this unique chorus effect, sweet and used to make a signal having a slightly different pitch from soft color is added to the electric guitar tone, the direct sound, which is then mixed with the direct sound CONTROLS AND FUNCTIONS CONTROL PANEL INPUT JACK VIBRATO SPEED VIBRATO DEPTH CHORUS/VIBRATO PILOT LAMP POWER SWITCH INPUT JACK Two input jacks (high and low) are equipped. For ordinary output guitar, connect to "HIGH." For very big output guitars, connect to "LOW." BRIGHT SWITCH When this switch is set to ON, clearer sound can be obtained. Thus, the tone can be changed to hard or soft. VOLUME This knob controls volume. Turn clockwise (O) to increase, and counterclockwise (O), to decrease. TREBLE This knob controls high range response. Turn clockwise IO) to lift and counterclockwise (O), to cut. BASS This knob controls low range response. Turn clockwise (O) to lift and counterclockwise (O), to cut. DISTORTION This knob controls distortion. Turn clockwise ( O) for greater distortion, and counterclockwise (O) for slight distortion. At OFF position, no distortion is produced. REVERB This knob controls reverberation sound. Turn clockwise (O) to increase, and counterclockwise (O) to decrease. VIBRATO SPEED This knob controls speed of vibrato. Turn clockwise ( O') for faster speed and counterclockwise ( O) for slower vibrato. VIBRATO DEPTH This knob controls depth of vibrato. Turn clockwise (O) for deeper effect. CHORUS/OFF/VIBRATO CHANGEOVER SWITCH Changeover of chorus-normal-vibrato can be accomplished simply by touching this switch. POWER/POLARITY SWITCH - PILOT LAMP Set to ON to run the amplifier. Pilot lamp lights. If noise or power-line hum is heard, change the polarity of power switch. DISTORTION FOOTSWITCH JACK Connect footswitch to this jack and you can remote-control Distortion to ON or OFF while in performance. CHORUS/VIBRATO FOOTSWITCH JACK Connect footswitch to this jack and you can remote-control Chorus or Vibrato, whichever is set with Chorus/Vibrato changeover switch on the control panel, to ON or OFF while in performance. REVERB FOOTSWITCH JACK Connect footswitch to this jack and you can remote-control Reverb to ON or OFF while in performance. CHORUS/VIBRATO OUTPUT JACK When this unit is connected to an external amplifier through the Chorus/ Vibrato output jack, widely expanding chorus and vibrato effects can be achieved. The output level is OdB, and the following functions are provided. • This unit must be connected to either MAIN-IN or LOW INPUT jack of an external amplifier through the Chorus/Vibrato output jack. 1. When the Chorus/Vibrato selector switch is OFF, normal sound is produced from the JC-50, and sound identical to that from the REC OUT jack of the JC-50 is produced from the external amplifier. 2. When the mode select switch remains On, the unit outputs only the normal and reverb sounds, while the external amplifier outputs either the chorus or vibrato effect sound only (whereas the reverb sound is not sent out at all).
