It is equipped with a tuner output jack and can also be used as an expression pedal using the optional stereo cord PCS-33. No part of this publication may be reproduced in any form without the written permission of BOSS CORPORATION. ■Using the FV 300L as an expression pedal ►CONNECTIONS ►OPERATION *To use the FV 300L as an expression pedal, you will need an optional PCS-33 stereo cable . Foot Controller OUTPUT i Keyboard ._o PHI: ;s si r t ) Connect the EXP 1 or EXP 2 jack of the FV-300L to the EXP. PEDAL (or EV 5) jack of the instrument you wish to control. (Connection to any other input jack may cause problems.) * The FV 300L is similar in design to the Roland EV 5 Expression Pedal and therefore can be connected to the EXP.PEDAL (EV-5) jack on Roland or Boss products. 2 ) Depress the pedal fully and set the maximum volume on the connected instrument. 3 ) Return the pedal to the minimum position. Guitar Tuner Setup for stereo output) OUTPUT j INPUT 2 1 ) Connect the FV 300L to a guitar (or keyboard) and an amplifier as shown above. 2 ) With the pedai fully depressed, set the maximum volume level by adjusting the volume on the guitar (or keyboard) and amplifier. 3 ) Return the pedai to the minimum position. Set the minimum * Because the FV 300L is designed tow-impedance, it should be set up with a guitar as shown beiow; after an effect unit. •How to use the TUNER OUT jack Connect the output of a guitar (or Keyboard) to INPUT 1 on the FV -300L. Connect a tuning device to the TUNER OUT jack. {The signal from INPUT 2 cannot be sent to the TUNER OUT jack.) If you return the pedal to the minimum position, you can now tune the instrument without any sound trom the ampiifier. (In this case, set the MINIMUM VOLUME knob to zero.)
