In such cases, use an Alesis BRC (ADAT controller) or a similar device to play back the recording with the master clock set at 44.1 kHz. 13 Use Together wi»h the VM-3100Pro • Because the tape counter on an older ADAT connected to a VM-3100Pro counts the number of samples on the tape, it displays times based on a sampling frequency of 48.0 kHz. This means that the time shown deviates from the SMPTE timecode displayed on the VM-3100Pro. In such cases, the VM-3100Pro displays the correct time.
