Features Extra-deep forearm and ribcage contour for maximum comfort Construction Body The body of this instrument is constructed from the finest western poplar. The deep, double-cutaway design provides unimpeded access to the highest fret while the extended upper horn balances the instrument, thereby, avoiding the need to support the instrument with the left hand. The instrument features our polyester/urethane finish which is mar- and weather-resistant. Neck The eastern maple neck is constructed of a unique bilaminated construction (U.S. Patent - 4,237,944) to provide unmatched rigidity and freedom from warpage. Additional reinforcement is provided with a steel torsion rod. The neck's adjusting rod features rolled threads for improved strength and freedom from breakage. The ultra-slim neck (1 V2" w'ide at the top nut) features a full 34" scale length, 21 18% nickel/silver frets which are medium height, highly crowned, and polished. The rosew'ood fingerboard features an 8" radius to provide exceptional playing ease and string distance/balance characteristics. The neck of this instrument also employs four precision machine heads, a string retainer and a durable Graphlon™ topnut. The neck is secured to the body w'ith four screws for maximum stability through a solid steel neck plate which features our neck-tilt adjustment. Pickups The Forum^'s two internally active humbucking pickups provide high output and wide frequency response. The pickups have been harmonically placed at precise points on the instrument allowing greater harmonic and fundamental response to be obtained from each string. The volume level of each pickup can be adjusted by raising or lowering the pickup with its height-adjustment screws. Raising the pickup closer to the strings will increase output and lowering the pickup - away from the strings - will decrease the volume. Bridge The bridge of this instrument is constructed from heavily-plated die cast metal and is securely bolted to the body at five points. The four barrel-type string saddles are made from heavy-duty steel for maximum sustain and string stability and are fully adjustable for THis J03PA Tû ,. r, XJ! j f*’ string height, tilt, and intonation/compensation. {See Adjustments: Height and Intonation for instructions.) Battery The pickups are powered by a 9-volt battery (not included) which is accessible by removing the battery cover plate from the back of the instrument. Rotating the control knobs clockwise will increase volume; rotating counterclockwise will decrease volume. The volume control closest to the neck regulates the volume of the pickup located on the pickguard. The second control regulates the volume of the pickup mounted in the body. Tone L_: The remaining knob on the instrument operates as a master tone control.
