Attach the bass drum pedal (F) by sliding the bottom plate under the flanged rim of the bass drum. Tighten the top clamp located under the footboard just enough to “grab” the top of the flanged rim. Place the bass drum felt beater into the top of the bracket and adjust so the felt beater hits the middle of the drum. Make sure the spring on the side of the pedal is tensioned to the top and bottom of the bracket of the bass drum pedal. Stand behind the bass drum and insert the two L mounting arms (G) into the two closest mounts on the top of the drum. Point one L mounting arm to the left and insert into the mount on the bass drum that is closest to you. Tighten. Then point the other L mounting arm to the right and insert on the middle bass drum mount. Tighten. (*For model FD-520 only, insert bottom half of L mounting arm through the cowbell (K) and tighten wing nut on cowbell bracket before inserting into first mount on bass drum.) Place the snare drum on the left L arm mount. Place the tom drum on the right L arm mount. A SSEMBLY Thank you for purchasing a First Act Discoverytm 500 series Drum Set! Remember to only turn one-quarter turn at a time and don’t over tighten. Good luck and drum on! A SSEMBLY (cont.) 5/044 FIRST ACT P.O.
