manual abstract
And, to make sure that its top end is countless hours of great bass tones that will every bit as punchy as the impressive lows and mids its feel as good as they sound. In addition to arming it with custom voiced 12" speaker kicks out, we've also loaded it with a HF (high frequency) tweeter horn. Before we show an active 4-band EQ network and our unique Bassilator you how to get the most out of your brand new T-60 circuit (which fattens and enriches the lows dramatically), combo (and it's as easy as falling off a log, believe me!), we've spent countless hours voicing it to ensure that this let's take a quick look at its features... highly compact and sturdy combo is flexible and toneful THE TOP PANEL 1 2 3456 78910 1. Input Jack This, believe it or not, is where you plug your bass into the amp! There are two (2) input jacks to choose from: Passive and Active... PASSIVE: This input is most commonly used for bass guitars with non-active pickups. (i.e. no on-board preamp) ACTIVE: This input is most commonly used for bass guitars that have active pick- ups with an on-board preamp or battery. 2. Volume Control Amazingly enough, this control determines the overall volume of the amplifier! 3. Treble Control This cuts (reduces) or boosts the high frequencies. Turning the knob clockwise from the center position (12 o’clock) boosts the highs while turning it counter-clockwise will cut the high frequencies. 4. High-Mid Control This cuts or boosts the higher mid-range frequencies. Turning the knob clockwise from the center position boosts the high-mids while; turning it counter-clockwise cuts the higher mid frequencies. 5. Low-Mid Control Wait for it - this cuts or boosts the lower mid-range frequencies! So, as you’d expect, turning the knob clockwise from the center position boosts the lower-mids while turning it counter-clockwise cuts the lower mid frequencies. 6. Bass Control This cuts or boosts the bass frequencies. Turning the knob clockwise from the center position boosts ’em while turning it the other way reduces ’em. 7. Bassilator Switch When this switch is set to the “ON” position (i.e. is pushed “in”), the low end is emphasized and sub-bass harmonics are added to create a rich, punchy bass tone. 8. Phone Out Jack Connect your headphones here. IMPORTANT NOTE: Connecting the headphones here mutes the internal speaker, making this facility ideal for “silent” practice. 9. Extension Speaker Jack This is where you connect a 4 Ohm extension speaker cabinet. IMPORTANT NOTE: Connecting an extension speaker here mutes the internal speaker. For optimum performance we strongly recommend the following: a) Only use extension cabinets with an impedance of 4 Ohms or more (e.g. 8 Ohms ) with these combos. NEVER use a lower impedance (e.g. 2 Ohms) or damage could result. WARNING: If you use an extension cabinet with an impedance of more than 4 Ohms your T-60's output power will be reduced - it only produces its full output of 60 Watts when presented with a 4 Ohm speaker load. b) DO NOT use a speaker cabinet with a Wattage rating that is less than 60 Watts. If you ignore this warning, you could end up blowing a speaker - and that's not recommended! c) ALWAYS use a good quality speaker cable (unshielded) to connect an external cabinet - NEVER use a guitar (shielded) cable. 10. Power Switch Um...believe it or not, this is how you turn on power to the amplifier! Assuming it's plugged in to a working outlet!! It is plugged into a working outlet right? Good... THE REAR PANEL EFFECT SEND and RETURN Jacks This is where you can connect your favorite effects processor. (e.g. ToneWorks AX1B!!) to the T-60s Series Effects Loop. The “SEND” jack is the preamp “out” of the T-60 which is connected to the “IN” on your effects and the “RETURN” jack is a power amp “in” which should be connected to the “OUT” jack of effects unit.
