/ Le produit peut differer legerement de celui illustre. Chopp ing Guide FOOD PREPARATION TIPS Bread Use up to 3 slices at a time. Break each slice into quarters. Makes about 11/2-cups (360 ml). Carrots/Celery Cut into 3/4” (1.91 cm) lengths. Use up to 2 cups (480 ml) carrots or 3 cups (720 ml) celery at a time. Chocolate Chips Use up to 1/2 cup (120 ml) chips at a time. Process on HI speed 30-50 seconds for fine chopped results. Eggs — Hard-cooked Peel; cut into quarters. Use up to 4 eggs at a time. Garlic/Ginger Peel. Cut ginger into 3/4" (1.91 cm) squares. Chop as little as 1 clove/square, or as much as 1 head garlic, or 1 cup (240 ml) ginger cubes at a time. Graham Crackers Add up to 7 rectangles, broken into quarters at a time. Pulse to crumb. (Makes 1 cup / 240 ml ) Mushrooms Quarter for best results. Use up to 3.4 cup (180 ml) at a time. Pulse to desired texture. Nuts, Soft (pecans, walnuts) Add up to 3 cups (720 ml) at a time; less for more coarse texture. Onions/Green Onions Peel up to 2 medium (2"/5 cm diameter) onions or 3 small (11/2"/3.80 cm diameter). Cut each into 6 pieces. For green onions, cut into 1" (2.5 cm) lengths. Use up to 1 cup (240 ml) at a time. Parsley/Herbs Wash; dry thoroughly. Add up to 3 cups (720 ml); process about 25 seconds for fine results. Peppers Remove seeds. Cut into 1/2” (1.27 cm) pieces. Add up to 1 cup (240 ml). Peppers process quickly. Tips • Want a vinaigrette to perk up vegetables or salad? Just combine olive oil, vinegar, and herbs of your choice in the Bowl and pulse to blend. Be sure not to exceed the MAX liquid level. • To puree a cooked vegetable or fruit for a garnish over meat, add up to 2 cups of the food to the bowl and process until smooth. • For quick homemade baby food, process up to 1 cup diced, cooked meat/poultry, cooked vegetables, or cooked or raw fruit. Add a little gravy, broth, or milk to make the baby food smoother. Care and Cleaning This product contains no user serviceable parts. Refer service to qualified service personnel. 1. Wash the bowl, knife blade, and non-slip base/cover immediately after use, either in warm, soapy water or in the dishwasher — top rack only. 2. Wipe the chopper top with a damp cloth or sponge; then dry. Do not immerse it in liquid. 3. Since the knife blade is extremely sharp handle very carefully and store it in the unit. How to Use This product is for household use only. Before using for the first time, wash the bowl and knife blade in warm, sudsy water and dry thoroughly. Both these parts and the non-slip base/lid are dishwasher-safe. Wipe the chopper top with a damp cloth and dry. Do not immerse the chopper top in water. NO TE: Do not operate the appliance when empty. This appliance is intended for processing small quantities of food. It is not intended to prepare large quantities of food at one time. This product has a “pulse action” feature. Avoid running the motor for more than 1 minute continuously. WARNING : Do NOT place chopper bowl or lid in a microwave oven. They are not microwave-safe. Assembling The Chopper 1. To assemble, press the non-slip base/lid onto the bottom of the bowl. This non-slip base MUST be in place before operating the chopper. (A) 2. Carefully slide the knife blade down over the post without touching the blade as it is extremely sharp. You may have to turn the blade slightly by rotating the shaft until it falls into place. 3. Place the chopper top over the bowl so that the daisy notch fits over the daisy tab of the knife blade shaft. Chopping/Mincing 1. To use, remove the chopper top and place food in the bowl. This mincer/chopper has a 3-cup (720 ml) dry food capacity and 1-1/4 cup (300 ml) liquid food capacity. Do not fill above the MAX Liquid line for liquid foods. Some foods process best with smaller amounts. (See "Chopping Guide") Larger amounts should be processed in small batches. 2. Place the chopper top on the bowl and plug in the unit. 3. Rest your hand comfortably over the soft-grip surface of the chopper top so that your fingers extend over the pulsehi-low buttons area. 4. Depress and hold the HI (Button with 2 dots) or LO (Button with one dot). Pulse for a few seconds at a time. Be careful not to overprocess. The longer you Pulse, the finer the texture. For coarsely chopped foods, use LO and pulse for shorter times. 5. When you release the Pulse button, the operation will stop. Be sure the BLADE STOPS spinning before removing the chopper top. Unplug the unit. Grasp the Shaft, twist slightly, and carefully pull the knife blade straight up without touching the blade. Empty the processed food. 6. You may store extra chopped/minced food right in the bowl. Just pull the non-slip base off the bottom of the bowl, flip it over, and press it onto the top of the bowl to serve as a storage lid (B).
