Beware of hot engine parts and sharp blade edges. Always wear protective gloves! CAUTION : Start the brush cutter or the string trimmer only after having assembled it completely. 1 Loosen the screws (1) and insert the drive shaft into the holder case. (Note) Always insert the drive shaft (2) into the holder case (3) fully. If the inner shaft (4) resists resists full insertion of the drive shaft, try to insert it again after slightly rotating"the drive shaft or the support washer on the gear case to match the inner shaft to the hole inside the holder case. 2. After making sure that the drive shaft is installed fully and properly, tighten the screws (1) to secure the drive shaft. 9 MOUNTING OF HANDLE For RBC280 and RBC320 - Adjust the handle (1) to the proper position end secure the handle joint (2) by tightening the four socket head bolts M5 (3) evenly. - Pass the throttle wire through the handle joint. For RBC281 and RBC321 - Secure the loop handle (9) by tightening the four socket head bolts (8) - The standard position of the handle is 200 to 250 mm from the hanger (10). Position the handle according to a worker’s stature and working conditions. A © © Assembly of throttle wire and ignition wire - Remove the air cleaner cover from the carburetor. - Insert throttle wire (1) through adjusting screw (2) and fit the nipple of the throttle wire into swivel (3) of the carburetor. - Adjust the adjusting screw to take up free play of the throttle wire ensuing the throttle is fully opened when the throttle lever is in high speed position and 2-3 mm (0.079" - 0.118") free play when in low speed position.
