Insert the power plug into a wall outlet. > You can adjust the length of the power cord by pushing it into or pulling it out of the cord compartment. > Take off the water tank (5). > Remove the cup stand (7) and insert it in the front of the appliance until you hear an audible click. 2.! Then clean the water tank thoroughly under running water and ill it up to the max mark with fresh, cold water. !! Important: Do not use chemically softened water. 3.! Remove the Service T DISC (6a) from the compartment (6) behind the water tank. 4.! Replace the water tank by slanting it slightly and returning it to its original position until it clicks into place. 5.! Turn the machine on by pressing the ON / OFF switch (1). The display elements (3) will light up briely. 6.! Select a large cup (minimum capacity 200 ml) and place it on the cup stand. Place the Service T DISC (6a) on the T DISC holder (4b) with the barcode facing down. Make sure that the lap of the T DISC is centred in the slot in the front. 9.! Close the brewing unit by irst bringing it down. 10.!Push the handle irmly down into the machine, until you hear an audible click. 11.!Press the Start / Stop button (2) to start the cleaning process. 12.!When the cleaning process is complete, empty the cup and return it under the drink outlet. !!Important: Please!complete!steps!11!and!12! four!times!to!ensure!the!machine!is! cleaned!and!prepared!for!the!next! steps. 13. 13.!Open the brewing unit, remove the Service T DISC and store it in the compartment (6) for the Service T DISC and short instructions behind the water tank. You use it to turn on your TASSIMO machine or turn it off completely. i Note: Your TASSIMO machine automatically switches to powersave mode. To save even more electricity, we recommend turning your TASSIMO machine off with the ON / OFF switch after each use. Start!/!Stop!button!(2) The Start / Stop button is used to start and interrupt the brewing, cleaning and descaling processes. Also you can add more water immediately after the brewing process by pressing and holding the Start / Stop button.
