16. Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons. 17. Avoid the use of an extension cord because the extension cord may overheat and cause a risk of fire. However, if you have to use an extension cord, the cord shall be No. 14 AWG minimum size and rated not less than 1875 watts. 18. The output of this heater may vary and its temperature may become intense enough to burn exposed skin. Use of this heater is not recommended for persons with reduced sensitivity to heat or an inability to react to avoid burns. 19.SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING THE PLUG ON YOUR PRODUCT COVER OF GROUNDED OUTLET BOX Fig. 1 OPERATION • Place the heater on a firm, level surface away from any combustible material. • With Power knob in the OFF position, plug the heater into a grounded outlet. • To turn the heater on, turn the Power knob clockwise to the ON position. (Fig. 2). • If you want to use the Quick Heat™ feature, turn the Power knob to the Quick Heat™ Setting. off onQUICKHEAT Fig. 2 QUICK HEAT™ FEATURE QUICK HEAT™ FEATURE • Quick Heat™ will propel a blast of warm air out of your baseboard. This can help heat your room more quickly. You will hear a fan operating in this mode. You can also turn the Quick Heat™ setting off and the heater will operate with silent heat. SAFETY FEATURES This heater is equipped with several devices and features for added protection. • A high temperature safety control prevents overheating (Hi Limit). • A thermal circuit breaker. • This heater was created using a high quality safety plastic. TROUBLESHOOTING If your heater shuts off unexpectedly or fails to operate, one of your heater safety features may have been activated to prevent overheating. • Be sure the power cord is plugged into a working electrical outlet. The power light will illuminate. • Check for any obstructions. If you find an obstruction, turn the heater OFF and unplug it. • Allow the heater to cool completely, then remove the obstruction. Wait at least 10 minutes, then re-plug in the heater and follow the OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS for your unit.
