Hook the chain (19) to the hole in the control box, then close the panel to the middle plate - the panel is attached by the magnets Tips; the chain can hold the panel while operating the control 1.3, Connect gas hose to 20. lb. LPG cylinder(not included). Attach regulator to cylinder. Tighten securely. Move cylinder to the plate of base assembly. Attach the cylinder to the base with 3pcs M8x12 bolts and tighten it in order to prevent the cylinder from moving on the base. Note: The regulator with gas hose is supplied. 11 .Fix three side panels (15) with the screws (17) Note; Do not cover the side where the control knob is - 9- (^) OPERATION PREPERATION: You will need to purchase a standard 20 lb. LPG cylinder designed to be used with the regulator purchased or supplied. For correct operation of the gas system follow the instructions supplied with the regulator supplied. Connect the hose to the hose connector In the control box. Warning: Always test the hose and connections for leaks with soapy water at the end of all connections. WARNING: • Never use the heater while it is raining,The glass tube will break when it comes in contact with water. • Never splash any liquid on the glass tube when the heater is working. • The glass tube will be extremely hot when it Is working.Never try to touch it and do not allow children to try to touch the glass tube. • Always ensure the heater is on firm, level ground.The glass tube will break if the heater falls and hits objects or the ground. • Never use the heater if the glass tube has a crack or chip. LIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS Check and ensure that a AA battery is inside the ignition chamber. The anode (+) side of the battery mustfaceout. 1. Ensure that the control knob is OFF a nd slowly open the gas cylinder valve. 2. Press and turn the control knob to LIGHT. 3. Check forthe pilot flame through the glass tube. If the pilot does not light turn the control knob to the «OFF» position and try again from the beginning. Several attempts may be necessary. 4. With the pilot light lit keep the control knob depressed (pushed down) for 15 seconds then turn the control knob to «LOW». 5. For maximum heat turn the control knob to «HIGH». 6. To turn the heater off, turn the control knob to «OFF». Close the valve on your LP cylinder to conserve gas when not in use. -10- MAINTENANCE/STORAGE CLEANING & MAINTENANCE: To enjoy years of outstanding performance from your heater make sure you perform the following maintenance routines on a regular basis: • Keep exterior surfaces clean: - Use warm soapy water for cleaning. Never use flammable, corrosive or abrasive cleaners. - While washing your unit, be sure to keep the area around the burner and pilot assembly dry at all times. If the gas control is exposed to water in any way, do NOT try and use it. It must be replaced. • At least once a year, the unit should be inspected for spiders, spider websor other insects -air flow might be obstructed. • Keep controls, burner and circulating air passageways clean. Signs of possible blockage include: - Gas odor with extreme yellow tipping of flame ; • Heater does not reach the desired temperature; - Heater glow is excessively uneven: - Heater makes popping noises. • Spiders and insects can nest in burners or orifices. This dangerous condition can damage the heater and render it unsafe for use. Clean burner holes by using a heavy duty pipe cleaner. Compressed air may help clear away smaller particles. • Carbon deposits may create a fire hazard. Clean reflector and glass tube with soapy water if any carbon deposits develop. Always be careful when cleaning the glass tube. STORAGE: Between Uses: • Turn the control knob to «OFF» position. • Turn the LP cylinder to the «OFF» position. • Store the heater upright in an area sheltered away from weather conditions such as rain, sleet, hail and snow. • If desired.cover heater to protect exterior surfaces and to help prevent dust and debris collecting in air passages. Do not apply cover until heater has completely cooled. DURING PERIODS OF EXTENDED INACTMTY OR WHEN TRANSPORTING: • Turn thecontrol knob to «OFF» position. • Disconnect LP cylinder and move to a secure, well ventilated location outdoors. Do NOT store in a location that will exceed 120 degrees farenheit. ■ Store heater upright in an area sheltered away from weather conditions such as rain, sleet, hail and snow. • Ifdesired.coverheatertoprotectexteriorsurfacesandtohelppreventdustanddebriscollectinginairpassages. Do not apply cover until heater has completely cooled. WARNING FOR YOUR SAFETY • DO NOT touch or move heater for at least 45 minutes after each use. • Allow all burner elements to cool before touching .
