DO NOT use substitute parts. A Warning: Before use, ensure that all crutch tips are properly seated and straight on each crutch. A Warning: Use forearm crutches on dry and level surfaces only. Do not use crutches on slippery surfaces, such as wet floors or ice; slippage and instability could occur. Do not use crutches on stairs or steep inclines. Inspect crutches weekly for proper function and wear. If any component is not in proper working order or appears worn, contact your Lumex dealer for repair and/or appropriate replacement parts Forearm crutch components are identified in illustration at right. Instructions for use The chart at right can be used as a guide to select height-appropriate crutches. Please consult a healthcare professional for the proper adjustment. Adjust leg height: 1. Loosen lower locking collet. 2. Depress lower push button and adjust leg for proper height. 3. Secure lower locking collet by turning until tight. Adjust cuff height: 4. Loosen upper locking collet. 5. Depress upper push button and adjust cuff for proper height. 6. Secure upper locking collet by turning until tight. 7. Arm cuffs are adjustable; adjust both cuffs for proper fit. A Warning: Before use, ensure that push buttons protrude fully through adjustment holes and that all locking collets are securely tightened. Ortho ease grip adjustment (6345/6346/6347 only) See crutch illustration on previous page. 1. Unscrew—but do not remove—holding bolt with slotted screwdriver. 2. Pull Ortho ease grip toward you and turn left or right to desired angle. 3. Push in Ortho ease grip and secure holding bolt. Maintenance Wipe crutches weekly with a damp cloth. Check locking collets and holding bolts weekly for tightness. Replace crutch tips as needed. To guarantee the best service from your crutches, always specify Lumex replacement parts.
