Safeguard them for future reference. • Only connect it to the voltage stated on the characteristics plate. • For added safety it is advisable for the electric socket in the bathroom to be fitted with a residual current device rated at 30mA or less. • The On/Off switch must be in the “0” position when pluggging it in or unplugging it. • WARNING: Do not use the appliance close to water conttained in baths, basins and the like. • NEVER IMMERSE THE APPLIANCE IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID. When the dryer is used in a bathroom always unplug it aftter use even if it is switched off, as water presents a serious hazard. • Do not handle the appliance if your hands or feet are wet, or if you are barefoot. • Never use hair lacquer or spray products while the appliaance is still operating. • Do not operate the appliance with the cable still coiled. • Do not allow the dryer to hang by its electrical cable. • Do not leave the hairdryer operating unattended, especially near children or the disabled. • This appliance must not be used by persons (including children) with physical, sensory or mental impairments unless they have been instructed in its correct use by a responsible adult. • Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. • Make sure that the air inlets and/or outlets never become partially or fully covered while the appliance is operating. • Never unplug it by tugging on the mains cable. • Before cleaning it, make sure that the appliance is unplugged and cold. • Do not switch the appliance on if the cable or plug are damaged or if you suspect that the appliance is not working correctly • The cable must not be replaced by the user. Cable repairs and replacements must be carried out exclusively by an Authorised Technical Service Centre. ANTI-OVERHEATING SAFETY DEVICE The hairdryer is equipped with an automatic cut-out device that disconnects it if the air intake becomes accidentally blocked. Remove the cause of the blockage and the appliaance will be ready to use again after a short while. USE (Mod. SC8368). Select the temperature by means of the switch (Fig 1) (Mod. SC8369). The desired temperature (Fig 1) and speed (Fig 2) can be selected by using the two switches. Maximum temperature and speed settings are only recommmended at the beginning, when your hair is still quite wet, gradually reducing the heat as the hair gets drier. A practical hanging ring allows the appliance to be hung on the wall. COLD AIR The COLD AIR position reduces the temperature significantly and offers rapid cooling after setting curls or waves.
