On safety Should any solid object or liquid fall into the cabinet, unplug the recorder and have it checked by qualified personnel before operating it any further. On power sources • The recorder is not disconnected from the AC power source (mains) as long as it is connected to the wall outlet, even if the recorder itself has been turned off. • If you are not going to use the recorder for a long time, be sure to disconnect the recorder from the wall outlet. To disconnect the AC power cord (mains lead), grasp the plug itself; never pull the cord. On recording • Note that the contents of the recording cannot be compensated for under any and all conditions, including conditions that may arise due to a malfunction of this unit. • Make trial recordings before making the actual recording. Copyrights • Television programmes, films, video tapes, discs, and other materials may be copyrighted. Unauthorized recording of such material may be contrary to the provisions of the copyright laws. If you leave the still video image or on-screen display image displayed on your TV for an extended period of time you risk permanent damage to your television screen.
