For example: Time search To find a scene at 2 hours, 10 minutes, and 20 seconds, enter “21020” and press SET. If you enter the wrong number, press CLEAR to cancel the number, then select another number. The recorder starts playback from the selected number or scene. z Hint You can also search for the item using , in step 3 above. Press ENTER to start playback. Bookmarking a favourite scene You can have the recorder store specific portions of the disc in memory and play immediately whenever you want. Up to nine bookmarks can be set. To set a bookmark During playback, press BOOKMARK when you find a scene to be bookmarked. The bookmark number appears on the TV screen. To search for a bookmarked scene 1 Press SEARCH MODE. The bookmark search display appears. 1 2 ------ To erase the bookmark 1 Press SEARCH MODE to turn on the bookmark search display. 2 Press , or the number buttons to select the bookmark number you want to erase, and press CLEAR. 3 Press SEARCH MODE to turn off the display. Playing Music CDs and MP3 Audio Tracks DATA CD CD The recorder can play MP3 audio tracks on DATA CDs (CD-ROMs/CD-Rs/CD-RWs). X (pause) Pauses playback. ./> (previous/ next) Goes to the beginning of the previous/next track. m/M (fast reverse/ fast forward) (not available for DATA CDs) Fast reverses/fast forwards the disc when repeatedly pressed during playback. Search speed changes as follows: Fast reverse fast forward FR1 T t FF1 FR2 T T t t FF2 FR3 T T T t t t FF3 SUR (Surround) Switches the Surround effect on ([SUR ON]) or off when pressed during playback. Surround lets you enjoy virtual surround sound effects created from the front left and right speakers. (See the notes on Surround effect on page 51.) Buttons Operations RANDOM Plays tracks in random order when pressed. [Random] appears. REPEAT Selects the item to be repeated when pressed repeatedly during playback. [TRACK]: repeats the current track. [ALL]: repeats all the tracks on the disc (CD) or album (DATA CD). A-B (A-B Repeat) Selects a specific portion to be repeated when pressed during playback. Press the button to find the starting point (point A) of the portion. [A] appears. Press the button again to reach the ending point (point B). [AB] appears. To resume normal playback, press H. To cancel the Surround, Random, Repeat, or A-B Repeat function, press the button again to turn off the indicator. Creating your own programme (Programme Play) You can play the contents of a disc in the order you want by arranging the order of the tracks on the disc.
