• Press and hold the bottom of the nap timer/clock button to choose 12-hour or 24-hour clock format. Press the top of the nap timer/clock button to make a choice. • Press the bottom of the nap timer/clock button . The hour number on the clock will fl ash. Press the top of the nap timer/clock button to scroll through hour choices. • Press the bottom of the nap timer/clock button . The minute numbers on the clock will fl ash. Press the top of the nap timer/clock button to scroll through minute choices. • Press the bottom of the nap timer/clock button to confi rm your selections and complete the clock setup. Nap Timer • Press the bottom of the nap timer/clock button to start the nap timer. Press again to stop the time. • Press and hold the top of the nap timer/clock button to clear the timer. Nightlight • Press the nightlight button on the receiver to remotely turn on the transmitter nightlight. Press again to turn the nightlight off. • The nightlight indicator will display on the LCD screen when the nightlight is on. Note: The nightlight will stay on until you turn it off. If you’d like to use the nightlight timer, slide the switch on the transmitter to the ON position and press the nightlight button again. Battery Indicator(s) • Displays the battery charge level of the receiver. Nightlight Button Nap Timer/ Clock Button Testing Sound Reception Range Indicator Power Button and L.E.D. Sound Lights • Place a receiver in the room where you intend to use it. • Press the power button to turn the power ON. Wait a few seconds to see if you have a good signal. If the range indicator light blinks along with beeping, you are out of range. Move the receiver closer to the transmitter. Hint:If you’d like to use AC power, use the AC adaptor/charger. • When sound is picked up by a receiver, the sound lights turn on. -One or two lights indicate quieter sounds. -Three or more lights indicate louder sounds. 11 Nightlight Button Power Button and L.E.D. NightlightNightlight Timer SwitchTimer Switch Setup and Use Nightlight Button Power Button and L.E.D. NightlightNightlight Timer SwitchTimer Switch Setup and Use • Place the transmitter in the same room with child. Point the microphone towards the crib or play area. • Unwrap and fully extend the power cord for best transmission. Plug the power cord into a standard wall outlet. Use the power cord only in a wall outlet. Do not plug into a ceiling outlet. • Press the transmitter power button to turn the power ON. The power L.E.D. will light. • Press the nightlight button for a soft, glowing light. Press again to turn the nightlight off. • Slide the nightlight timer switch to turn the timer on. When the timer is on the nightlight will automatically shut off after 30 minutes. To turn the nightlight back on for another 30 minutes, simply press the nightlight button again. 12 Setup and Use Range Indicator Sound Lights • Place a receiver where you can see and hear it. Volume Buttons • To use AC power, unwrap and fully extend the AC adaptor/charger cord for best reception. Insert the AC adaptor/charger pin into the DC input jack on the receiver and plug into a standard wall outlet. • Press the power button to turn the power ON. Press the up and down volume buttons to adjust the volume as needed. • Clip the receiver onto your clothes to stay in touch with baby around your house or yard. Hint: The receiver’s range is up to 700 feet (213 m) away from the transmitter. The range indicator will fl ash and you will hear beeping when the receiver is out of range. • Press and hold the talk button on the receiver. Talk into the microphone on the receiver to talk to baby. Hint: If you’d like to increase or decrease the volume of your voice to baby, simply use the volume buttons on the receiver. 13 Problems & Solutions Problem Solution Receiver range indicator light flashes and you hear beeping Receiver is out of range of transmitter. Move receiver closer to transmitter. Note: Range varies depending on surrounding conditions such as noise levels, physical obstructions and signal interference. Transmitter power is off. Turn transmitter power on. Loose power cord connection and transmitter power is off. Check transmitter power cord plug-to-outlet connection. No power to wall outlet and transmitter power is off. Make sure light switch that controls power flow to wall outlet is on. Power is off because circuit breaker for room is off. Make sure house fuses and circuit breakers are on. Receiver power L.E.D. Receiver power is off. Turn receiver power on. The 3.6V NiMH battery pack (inside the receiver) is weak. Use the AC adaptor/charger as a power source as well as charge the battery. Power is off because circuit breaker for room is off. Make sure house fuses and circuit breakers are on. No power to wall outlet and power is off.
