ОЧИСТКА ФИЛЬТРА Снятие/установка фильтра Важно: Перед снятием или установкой фильтра выключите чайник, дайте ему полностью остыть и выньте вилку сетевого шнура из электророзетки. 10 ENGLISH IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS ALWAYS • Always unplug from the socket when not in use before cleaning and filling with water. • Always allow the appliance to cool before cleaning and storing. • Always exercise caution when carrying kettle full of boiling water and when pouring from it. • Always place the kettle on a flat surface and away from extreme heat. • Always ensure kettle has switched off automatically before removing from base unit. • Always check the mains cord regularly for damage. • Always return appliance for repair as stated in guarantee. • Always make sure that your electricity supply is the same as the one displayed on the underside of unit. • Always store excess portion of the power cord in the storage compartment of the base unit. • Always avoid excessive tilting of the kettle after filling. • Always be aware of steam being emitted from spout or lid especially during refilling. • Always take care near hot surfaces. NEVER • Never touch hot surfaces. • Never immerse electrical appliances in water or any other liquid to protect against electrical hazards. • Never allow children to use this product. This product is not a toy. • Never leave the appliance unattended when switched on. • Never let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, touch hot surfaces or become knotted. • Never place the appliance on or near a hot gas or electric stove or where it could touch a heated oven or microwave oven. • Never use harsh, abrasive or caustic cleaners or oven cleaners to clean this appliance. • Never use this appliance for anything other than boiling water. This appliance is for household use only. • Never use any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, after it has malfunctioned or been damaged in anyway. 3 Vt-1129.qxd 09.03.04 16:21 Page 8 ENGLISH • Never use a base unit other than the one supplied. • Never insert any object into slots or holes of the kettle. • Never remove lid during boiling cycle. • Never fill above max indication as hot water may be ejected. • Never fill kettle when positioned on base. • Never allow kettle to boil dry. Allow to cool, unplug and refill with cold water. • Never operate kettle if water level is below minimum. BEFORE USE • Remove any packaging material from the kettle. • Before connecting to a power source, make sure your mains supply voltage is the same as the one indicated on the label on the underside of this appliance. • Fill the kettle to the maximum mark (without the base unit). Bring to the boil and then discard the water. Repeat this procedure two more times. This removes any residues that may have remained from the manufacturing process. Remove and rinse the filter before use. HOW TO USE • With the kettle switched off, connect the plug into a suitable power outlet. Remove the kettle from the base unit before filling. Do not fill through the spout. • Remove the lid and fill through the top. Observe the water level indicator displayed on the water window to prevent overfilling. • Fill the kettle with no less than the minimum amount (0.5 litres approximately) and no more than the maximum level mark ...
