E-19 Automatic searching for the peak level on a disc The unit automatically searches for a part in the disc where the source level peaks and next plays that part repeatedly. When recording to tape, this feature is very helpful for adjusting the recording level on the tape deck. 1 Press to stop the unit. 2 Press PEAK. “PEAK” lights up on the display, and the peak level search is performed on the disc. It takes a few minutes to search for the peak level. Next, the part where the source level peaks is repeatedly played. Adjust the recording level on the tape deck listening to this sound.
