дм ■ 6 ENGLISH OPERATION 1. POWER BUTTON Press the button to turn on the unit, press it again to turn it off. If the unit is turn off, the LCD will display the clock time. 2. EJECT BUTTON Push down to eject the cassette tape. 3. CASSETTE COMPARTMENT Holding the cassette tape lengthwise, insert it into the compartment. The tape mechanism will now engage into the cassette play mode. 4. PROGRAM BUTTON • To fast forward or fast rewind the cassette tape, push down the corresponding button into the locking position. If fast forward button is pressed, it can be released by pushing down the rewind button and vice versa. • Push down these two buttons simultaneously to change the playback direction. 5. VOLUME CONTROL Rotate the volume control clockwise or anti-clockwise to obtain the desired sound level. 6. BALANCE CONTROL Rotate it to adjust the sound balance between left and right speakers. 7. RELEASE BUTTON Press it to detach the front panel then you can take it away. 8. TONE CONTROL Rotate it to get the good sound quality. 9. BAND BUTTON Push to switch the reception band in the following order: i-> FM —> AM —■ FM/AM SELECTOR: Push it to select FM band or AM band. '-5»-' 10. LO/ DX SELECTOR Push it to select distance reception or local reception. Local control is no effect at AM band, even though "LOC" appears on display. 11. MO/ST SELECTOR Push it to select STEREO or MONO mode. C&D will appear on the display at stereo mode. At stereo mode, the stereo indicator will be light. 12. TUNE KNOB Rotate this knob clockwise or anti-clockwise to obtain the desired broadcasting station. 13. CD INPUT JACK The unit can be connected to a portable CD player through this jack. 14. FREQUENCY DISPLAY The display will show the current frequency and state of the unit. 15.16&17. F/C (=FREQUENCY/CLOCK) In radio mode, press it to recall time display, the current time will be shown on display. Press and hold F/C button (17), when the clock is shown on the display, press [M] button (15) to adjust the minutes.
